The Sopranos Ends

10:30pm: Was that a great ending?

I agree with the theory that Tony DOES get killed at the end. He gets shot in the cafe and the screen goes black, sudden ending, no noise, no nothing. Tony is dead. His last vision in life is his daughter walking through the door. If that is the case, Brilliant!

As someone said on the internet already “Just as Tony was realizing what was really important in life…. his family…. he gets killed. It’s tragic, because he was a tragic character. He was destined for tragedy!”

“Or you can think he just lived happily ever after…”

Tony wasn’t the only one who got killed. His whole family got wacked.

  2. i AGREE, THE GUY CAME OUT OF THE BATHROOM AND SHOT TONY IN THE HEAD.

  3. what the hell just happened??

I agree…not the homage to the first Godfather…guy goes to the bathroom to get the gun….No, they don’t kill the family….mob doesn’t do that, i.e. Phil wacked in front of his family…but just like Bobby said, “you don’t see it coming” and we see Tony look at the door and that is it…fade to black, no sight, no sound…that’s death….I will miss that guy.

  5. If he is really dead, then not much chance for a movie, so I say he did not die. Of course, they could do a pre-quel type of movie.

  6. I read David Chase’s interview in the Newark Star Ledger today (nj.com) and he didn’t say “never” for a movie. He actually said, “never say never”.

Maybe the audience got whacked and Tony is still alive. The final scene was the audience looking through Tony’s eyes – the paranoia.

Whatever the situation, I enjoyed the ending as I reflect back. I was angry at first but I agree with the way it ended. It was a great show with the best episodes in seasons 1, 2 and 3.
