From Blogger to WordPress!

The change is finally under-way from Blogger to WordPress – It’s about time!  Now I just need to figure out the differences between firefox and explorer views and how to get my images into the new blog.

Comments

  1. As I said over at my blog I do not see any differences betw Firefox 2, Internet explorer 7 or Opera 9. The only difference I see is that the pointer image does not show up and the red cross icon appear. just get rid of the image tags in the leftsidebar.php and sidebar.php files.
last time i tested it in IE6 it worked fine

  2. Thanks for the mention below. Let me know when you have the conversion perfected, and I will hire you to do my blog!

I run my own web development company and I can tell you that there is not a big difference between designing or programming for IE and FireFox especially when it comes to sites that are not particularly visual (like wordpress’s framework), something might be a pixel out but you won’t notice it on a site like this.

The code for inserting images is identical for IE and FireFox.

P.S FireFox is built very well and IE is full of bugs (even IE7), if you design for FireFox most likely it will work in IE rather than the other way around.

P.P.S I prefer to read your blogs on http://marketstockwatch.blogspot.com/ because it has a yellowish background with grey text. Your current site has black text on a white background. That combination works fine for print but it has been proven that it doesn’t work on computer monitors as well, it stains the eyes. If you could change that it would be better for your readers whether they know if or not.
